Hourtin FRA, Coupe de l'Armistice

I’v been training for 3 days in Monbuisson with the youth and olympic team from France. The goals of this camp were to practice contact situations in a big fleet (30 Laser) on short courses. We had to look around and take the head out of the boat. It was a good exercise for the preparation of the regatta in Hourtin, where 180 boats were registered.

After 4 days waiting for the wind, we started sailing at 7.30 am on Sunday, to achieve 4 races in 8-12 knts. With 2 fleets of 90 boats, we had to do many starts with the black flags. Unfortunately, I get caught twice, out of 4. One I got some Z penalty points and the second time, I’ve been BFD disqualified. On my 2 other races, I finished 4 and 6. I really fulfilled my goals for this regatta. I wanted to check my speed downwind with the other Olympic sailors and my tactic in contact situations. Even if the final result is not that good because of my 2 premature starts, I m really happy of this 10 days sailing.
