ISAF Sailing World Championship 2011

Youah, it's was such a hard week! I didn't start as good as I wanted. Then I could only come back everyday...but too many points were lost in little details.
At the end, I could sail a really good last day of the finales, with the races of 3rd and 10th, I came back 12th overall only 3 points from top 10. But guess what, I qualified my country for the Olympics and I did the critera from SwissOlympics (top 12 nations) for London 2012!!!

Serious things start tomorrow!! Youpi, I feel good, ready to fight against the best girls in the World, here in Fremantle Australia.
The wind conditions don't look perfect for the 2-3 first days, with storms and without the famous Fremantle Doctor (local seabreeze) and with crazy shifty wind. But I like crazy wind...and anyway we have to deal with what we have here. It will be even more important to fight for each place, each meter!
You can follow the results on the website of the regatta Perth 2011. And of course, I will keep you updated on my website, everyday after sailing (+ 7h for Switzerland) So stay connected and keep the fingers crossed!

It's now 2 weeks that we are working in Fremantle and the conditions have been wonderful. The famous Fremantle Doctor woke up this last week and we had perfect days of training with 18-25knts, warm and sunny. I train with Annalise IRL and Manon, and we join other girls on the water to work on the starts and the marks rounding.
My preparation is going well. I feel good on the boat, downind and upwind as well. I'm ready for the Worlds, starting in 2 weeks.

I'm back to Australia to prepare the World championship which will take place in Fremantle, from 5th to 11th of December 2011. Just a little reminder: here is the first possibility to qualify the country for the Olympics. Switzerland has to finish in the top 29 nations to get a spot for London 2012. I can also qualify myself finishing top 5!

I'm training in Fremantle since 1 week with the Swiss Sailing Team. The sailing conditions are perfect, with wind everyday, waves and even dolphins jumping around. So cool!

The famous Fremantle Docteur (the local seabreeze) arrived today for the first time, as the temperatures are rising up those days. Some wonderful sailing conditions to prepare perfectly this important championship!
